Piega Master Line Source 2 Floor Standing Speaker
£54,000.00 – £62,545.00
The Master Line Source 2 is a smaller version of the Master Line Source, which can also be integrated in normal living rooms.
Although the MLS 2, with a total weight of 93 kg, is considerably lighter than the MLS with its 176 cm height, it is slightly taller and is thus also the largest of PIEGA’s loudspeakers.
BRILLIANT MIDRANGE/TWEETER SOUND
Four Line Source Driver ribbons ensure unforgettable sound reproduction for all midrange and high frequencies.
SOLID BASS POWER
Two 220 mm UHQD subwoofers and two equally sized UHQD passive membranes radiating at the back provide a powerful bass sound.
The rear acoustic lenses distribute the sound so expansively that it is possible to place a dipole speaker in the room like a conventional loudspeaker.
The MLS two was developed in close collaboration with Swiss designer Stephan Hürlemann and is available in four different cabinet designs.
MASTER LINE SOURCE 2
Version of the Master Line Source compressed into a housing, which can also be integrated into normal living spaces.
With its total weight of 93 kg, the MLS 2 is significantly lighter than the MLS, but with its height of 176 cm it is slightly larger and thus also the largest loudspeaker from PIEGA.
BRILLIANT MID-HIGH FREQUENCY REPRODUCTION
Four line source driver ribbons ensure an incomparable reproduction of all medium and high frequencies.
MASSIVE BASS POWER
Two 220 mm UHQD woofers and two equally sized UHQD passive membranes radiating to the rear ensure a powerful bass.
The rear acoustic lenses distribute the sound so widely that this dipole radiator can be placed in the room like a conventional loudspeaker.
The MLS 2 was developed in close cooperation with the Swiss designer Stephan Hürlemann and is available in four different housing designs.
ACOUSTIC LENSES WITH SLATS
Like its great role model, the more compact Master Line Source 2, which can therefore be integrated into normal living spaces, works on the principle of the symmetrical line source. Four mid-range speakers and tweeters mounted one above the other radiate the sound in the form of a vertical cylinder and not – as is usual with conventional loudspeakers – spherically. As a result, the audio signals reach the listener directly without reflections on the ceiling and floor, which leads to an extremely clear and detailed sound image. The reproduction of the high and mid-range signals via several drivers offers extremely low distortion, high efficiency and great dynamics. This ensures a particularly lifelike and detailed reproduction.
In order to make uncompromising use of the high quality and freedom from distortion of the drivers, great attention was paid to freedom from vibrations in the case. The Line Source Drivers are mounted in a 10 mm thick aluminium baffle, which is glued over the entire surface to the actual housing. This consists of a composite of MDF panels and a viscoelastic heavy film – an extremely solid and rigid construction. This offers the two completely newly developed PIEGA woofers and the two passive radiators at the rear a perfect working environment.
Our Master Line Source models are milestones in loudspeaker construction. After extensive studies, calculations and sleepless nights, we were able to combine the uniqueness of the coaxial ribbon system in a dipole system for the first time worldwide.
